The cold is an infection of the upper respiratory tract. While it is not dangerous it is not pleasant also and it can keep you in the bed for more than a week. Tiredness and a weak immune system are the two most common causes for a cold. You can catch the virus by having contact with a contagious environment or persons. The reason why children have colds more than adults is the high exposure to different environments: school or playground.

You can also try eucalyptus, oregano or rosemary. Add the plants or a few drops of essential oil in hot water and keep your head above it, covered with a towel, for 15 minutes.
